The Hero World Challenge gets criticized for bad coverage

On 30th November, Tiger Woods played his first round after a long hiatus of 7 months. The anticipation by the public could be assessed as 497,000 viewers joined the Golf Channel to watch Woods tee it up. The viewership saw around a 100 percent increase from 2022 when Woods did not play.

Mr.T has been associated with attracting a vast amount of interest from the golf world and that was observed through the first round. However, amidst the increased viewership, the public has shared their grievance about disappointing coverage by the broadcasters.

Although people are frustrated with the commercials breaking their game flow or missing a crucial shot, this is not the first time such complaints have surfaced. At the time of the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup, the golf world had taken to social media to share their dissatisfaction with the lack of correct coverage. With golf being revolutionized every passing day, golf viewers can expect positive changes in the coverage of events and hope for a less frustrating experience.
