The PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf controversy doesn’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. After Brooks Koepka won his third PGA Championship, making history as the first LIV golfer to do so, emotions were high. Many turned to anger rather than jubilation soon after, one of them being Golf Channel’s analyst Brandel Chamblee. Koepka’s coach was one of the many who stood up to the analyst, voicing his displeasure over his unfair treatment of the Saudi-sponsored league. And of course, Lefty stepped in to lend his support!

The well-known and outspoken advocate for LIV Golf, Phil Mickelson, stood with the 2023 PGA Championship winner’s coach and supported his claims. Additionally, he implied that he lashed out at Chamblee too, calling him ignorant and soft. Therein began the epic feud that went viral all over Twitter. And while many were under the impression that it had ended, as per the 6-time major winner’s latest tweet, that certainly isn’t the case!

Mickelson is currently playing at LIV Golf’s DC event, competing for a whopping $25,000,000 purse. Although he had a poor start at the event, ending round 1 in the 44th position, the golf world’s spotlight is still on him. And he has his Twitter antics to thank for that!

Chamblee and Mickelson have been at odds for years now. The former golf pro is an open LIV Golf criticizer, and of course, Phil Mickelson stands against him. Following their most recent stretch of banter, Chamblee invited the LIV star to his live show on Golf Channel to talk about the “merits of playing for scary MFers”. Soon after, the 60-year-old blocked Lefty, thus ending their feud. But that didn’t stop the golf great from firing shots at him!

In response to Chamblee’s live show offer, a fan suggested that Mickelson face off against the old-timer and show him his worth. Replying to him, the LIV golfer wrote that he would love to face off against Chamblee, but on any network other than Golf Channel. Why? Well, “I don’t want to help golf channel in ANY way or help him,” commented Lefty boldly. “He hasn’t faced anyone who has nothing to lose and is sick of his endless attacks.”

Undoubtedly, a face-off between the two is something the golf world would flock to, but meanwhile, it seems like the fans are making do with the shots the two sides have been firing at each other both directly and indirectly!

Fans react to Mickelson’s viral tweet

Lefty’s response to being open to facing off against Chamblee and his strong words for him quickly gained the attention of many fans. And on Twitter, they all voiced their thoughts on the matter.

A few sided with Mickelson and began chanting his praise.
