After months of criticism, LIV Golf had a sudden change of perspective following its Adelaide event. Nonetheless, weeks after the successful tournament in Australia, the Saudi-funded tour has a new group of critics! These are none other than the members of LIV’s hosting golf club, The Grange.

From Chase Koepka’s hole-in-one at the Waltering hole to Talor Gooch’s back-to-back 10 under-par rounds, LIV Golf’s event in Australia was a massive success for its spectators. Nonetheless, while the fans may have enjoyed the event and returned home, it is the golf club members who are suffering from the aftermath of the 54-hole tournament.

LIV Golf  hosts unhappy with the Tour

With high anticipation leading up to the Adelaide event, LIV CEO Greg Norman was excited to welcome the golfing world to his home country. But the event surpassed all expectations, thanks to the loud Aussie fans. Nonetheless, just weeks after the tournament, The Grange Golf Club members are very unhappy with the lucrative tour.

According to Adelaide-based news outlet ‘The Advertiser’, the members of the exclusive golf club are upset with the organizers of the LIV event. The damage caused by all the beer around the watering hole and elsewhere will cause the course to be fixed for at least the next six months.

Moreover, several furious club members have also claimed that they will not host the LIV Golf League next year due to the ‘excessive‘ damage caused by them. While the Adelaide event may have been the turning point for B=breakaway tour in terms of winning the hearts of the golf world, it is again surrounded with criticism by its hosts. But with the Saudi-funded series, gradually getting the approval of fans, will the league never return to Down Under?

Is this the end of LIV in Australia?

Though the lucrative tour’s arrival in The Grange may upset many of its long list of members, the LIV Golf’s event in Adelaide was still a massive success. With a massive turnout, to thrilling golf, the event had it all. The 54-hole event was attended by more than 60,000 fans, with the series garnering nearly 20,000 spectators each day.

Moreover, Greg Norman would lead the Tour to ensure its return to Down Under and have more than one event. But returning to Adelaide’s Grange would be a big question. Following the doom of LIV’s reputation due to the latest revelation, many golf clubs will refrain from hosting the Breakaway Tour. Nonetheless, with the voice of Norman and the funding of the PIF, LIV Golf may not struggle much in finding a new venue around the Australian continent.
