Jon Rahm is participating in the 2023 American Express despite the history
Rahm’s may be seeking a win at the American Express tournament, which is set to take place from January 16-22. However, his last season’s event wasn’t up to the mark and left him frustrated with the course’s conditions. Though the courses; PGA West Stadium Course, Nicklaus Tournament Course, and La Quinta are deemed to be legendary, The Spaniard wasn’t happy with their conditions in January of this year.

While walking on the greens, the 28-year-old was heard saying, “Piece of s***, f****** setup, putting contest week, Jesus Christ”. The recorded video went viral immediately, drawing gossip of Rahm never returning to the American Express event.
Nonetheless, within a year, the Spaniard had a change of plan and hopes to win back the tournament which he won in 2018. Though he released his frustration during the 2022 edition of the tournament and ended in the 14th position, the former world number one would be hoping to kick off his 2023 with a win in La Quinta.
