In 2017, they said, “We are proud to have provided $5 million to the following charitable causes since our opening.” It had nearly 200 recipients.

But after tallying, the club’s donations fell far short of $5 million and were more like $800,000. He was also highly scrutinized by the public for planting around 100 trees. Homes costing millions of dollars are located all around the Trump National Golf Course. Therefore, it was clear that having tall trees would infuriate the residents. But Trump said it was done for beautification and safety.
