The LIV Golf Series is back in the States after a couple of exhilarating displays overseas. More impressively, it returns with the latest major championship winner in its ranks, as Brooks Koepka bagged his third Wanamaker Trophy at the PGA Championship last week!

However, it looks like that hasn’t stimulated growth in viewership for the breakaway league. With the LIV Washington DC event ongoing, netizens have discovered another legal way of streaming the match in action, which is priced at just $3.
Can you watch the LIV Golf Series for just $3?
For those unaware, the Greg Norman-led league signed a broadcasting deal with the CW Network for its second season in charge. The league’s failure to secure a TV rights deal for its opening year was met with much ridicule, during which the league streamed its games on YouTube for free.
But it looks like Norman has decided to go back to his old habits this season. Still contracted with CW, the LIV Golf Series is streaming its matches on YouTube again, but with a twist.
🚨📺💰LIV Golf is back streaming on YouTube. You can buy a ticket to watch round 1 for $3. Currently it’s showing that 75 people are watching. (Viewers can also watch for free on the CW App).
This time, viewers have to pay a certain sum to watch a round of LIV Golf. According to the official website, the opening round of the Washington event could be viewed with a purchase of just $3.

For an event boasting a total purse of an eye-watering $405 million, the figure looked bleak in terms of the league’s financial muscle. Expectedly, netizens jumped on the bandwagon to troll the league for its actions. Here’s a selection of those tweets:
91 people watching it now 🤣🤣🤣
I guess they can’t force bots to pay for it.
If my math is correct thats $225 in the bank today for LIV. They're gonna be able to pay off those player contracts in no time!!
Furthermore, some were critical of LIV Golf’s financial plan and couldn’t understand the logic behind such a move.
they should have not done a broadcast deal and built it out from online coverage.... i watched when it was on youtube for free but going ppv by round is not a great strategy..... if they are going after the under 40s, doubt many of them have cable....
You can watch for free on the CW app
Just watched a few minutes on UK YouTube (Free) It maxed out at 1400 viewers. DJs ball lost in the rough, there is no crowd, so nobody near where it landed, 10 people helping him look for it. embarrassing stuff.
I mean why would you when you can just log in a livgolfplus for free.. maybe they have a different way to make money on this
What do you think of Norman’s latest move? Is it absolutely genius or completely absurd?
Is LIV failing in the States?
Despite hosting a number of events in the country, it looks like the new series has failed to capture the market yet. It comes as a major hurdle for the Greg Norman-led league, which has found new territories across the planet.
This season has been one for the records for the LIV Series. The league made headway in Australia after its Adelaide event, which attracted thousands of onlookers.
However, it has failed to transpire in the United States, where followers have been far and few. Can LIV Golf Series turn it around soon? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
