Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are off the list
In a poll shared by GolfWeek, the most popular golfer in every state was found out. PGA Tour member, Tiger Woods and LIV Golf player, Phil Mickelson were definitely not a part of the list. And the reasons for that are pretty clear. Woods is the most searched golfer in every state, and the list makers are well aware of that fact. They didn’t have to refer to any statistics or data, although they used Google trends data, which was later shared by Golfweek and USA Today.

Even with multiple injuries, Tiger Woods happens to be the most popular among fans. He couldn’t play for long, but his charm had taken over everything else. Woods has made a special place in everyone’s heart. They also removed Phil Mickelson from the list because, after Woods, he occupies the 2nd place. Although his popularity was affected by controversies involving his move to LIV Golf and difficulties in his personal life, he persisted on being No. 2, so he was off the list like Woods.
