With Brian Harman claiming victory, some players didn’t get a chance to perform at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club. To qualify for a particular event, golfers need to fill in some criteria. Sadly, this time, Garcia was not qualified in any of the 27 current exemption categories. Also, for this season, he had very few events to do his best.

This was the first time since 1998 that he didn’t get to participate. Nevertheless, it is still a proud moment for him to hold such a long record in the tournament.
