Since the 2023 PGA Championship buzz has waned over the days, the golf world is taken aback by the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge. Fans marked their calendars from 25 to 28 May, as the Colonial Golf course hosted the 77th Charles Schwab Challenge this year. And as if the excitement build-up wasn’t enough, the tournament’s winner’s prize left everyone’s mouth wide open.

Famous golfers like Max Homa, Adam Schenk, Viktor Hovland, and others were spotted on the green at the event. However, the leaderboard was taken over by the Argentine golf professional, Emiliano Grillo, who happened to bag the expensive gift at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Emiliano Grillo bags a grand prize at the Charles Schwab Challenge

On Sunday, Emiliano Grillo won the winner’s title at the Charles Schwab Challenge by beating his opponent, Schenk. The two tied with a score of 8 while playing four rounds. However, Grillo claimed the victory with a score of two under par. Along with the PGA Tour winner’s title, he also won a trophy, $1.5 million, and a very splendid gift.

The 30-year-old drove home in a 1973 Ford Bronco. The car was restored and modernized, as claimed by the PGA tour. They even posted a picture of the victor riding his new possession and captioned it with, “@GrilloEmiliano will go home with a fully restored and modernized 1973 Schwab Bronco 🚙.”

Grillo was lucky, as, instead of getting a green jacket, he drove an expensive car home. About his second win at a PGA Tour event, Grillo opened up to the media and said, “They say the second is harder than the first. It definitely was. I’m on top of the world right now. Hopefully I can stay there another week.”
