The golf world saw excitement and thrills at their zenith as the LIV Golf Greenbrier came to a close on Sunday. While many players hoped to win the trophy and take home a cut of the whopping $25 million prize purse, only one person was able to scoop the winner’s share of $4 million. And it was none other than Bryson DeChambeau who topped the scorecard on Sunday.

While many were on his tail to win the title, the golfer was able to put up a spectacular performance to beat his fellow players and finish first. Moreover, he managed to enthrall the golf community by achieving a feat that even Tiger Woods, the greatest in the sport, couldn’t touch. While the Saudi-backed league cannot offer FedEx Cup or OWGR points to the winner, it can act as a place where one shows off their skill, technique, and talent to get picked for the Ryder Cup. The stakes are very high as the two teams get ready to face off against each other. And with the teams not yet fully set, many are still hopeful to make it on the list, including, of course, Bryson DeChambeau.

Although the American golfer has had a bumpy start to the year, he has managed to turn around his not-so-good start to pull off amazing performances leading up to the Greenbrier event. Many are voicing their opinion for the LIV champ, as they hope DeChambeau gets picked for the USA team in the prestigious Ryder Cup instead of players like Max Homa or Justin Thomas.

The post was uploaded with the caption, “If Zach Johnson doesn’t pick Bryson DeChambeau for the Ryder Cup team at this point, he should be removed from his role as team captain,” as they took a dig at the US team captain. While the skipper hasn’t been too clear about who he will include in his roster, a curtain of uncertainty does loom over the LIV Golf defector.

DeChambeau was able to propel himself to the top with an insane feat that even Tiger Woods could not achieve. He went ahead to score his lowest score ever in his career as he finished the third day at 12-under-par 58 with a total of 187 (-23), while the lowest the GOAT ever managed was a 13-under 59 in a game with Mark O’Meara a week before his victory in the 1997 Masters.
