The whole world celebrated Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May. Even though it seems unfair to dedicate just one day to these superhumans, we do sometimes need a push to remind ourselves how awesome moms really are. Hence, the golfchannel on Instagram brought to the viewers a special clip from the LPGA’s Founders Cup. It comprised sweet Mother’s Day narratives from our LPGA Stars, including the icon Nelly Korda.

A disheartening end to the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup with no share in the colossal $3 million purse doesn’t justify Nelly as a player. She is a stunning golfer with exceptional skills. Her shared fifth position at the DIO Implant LA Open and a third-place finish at Chevron Championship this year are proof of the same. However, the passion that the icon possesses for the game would be incomplete without her parents’ support.

Despite Nelly’s mother and father being former professional athletes, they have never forced the love for sports on their children. Last year, the 24-year-old shared an insight into how her mom and dad have always been there for all three siblings. She, along with her sister, affirmed that they pick them up whenever they fall and have always provided them with guidance.
