Fireworks filled up the sky of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) following the opening day of competition in the $25 million LIV Golf Jeddah. The athletes, locals, and tourists all found the sight to be an outstanding experience. With this act, LIV Golf made it clear that it would always honor its players to the fullest extent.

Unfortunately, the OWGR has issued its decision that, due to several technical issues, it will not be able to rank LIV players. The bad news is that golfers’ prospects of competing in the majors going forward impact their overall world rankings too!

The revelation has brought sadness to many LIV golfers. The likes of Dustin Johnson and others have made it quite clear that to them, the point-based ranking system is just void since they’re excluding 48 of the arguably some of the best golfers in the world! Whether or not these words will change the OWGR’s decision in the near future, however, remains to be seen!
