Paige Spiranac is the most popular golfer on Instagram, with around 3.3 million followers. Notably, she has more male followers. Maxim even named her the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2022.

Although she is popular now, she didn’t have that luck when she was a college student. According to Spiranac, she had her worst date experience while she was in her college. 

“This guy that I thought was my boyfriend at the time,” Spiranac explained how her boyfriend ignored her on their date. “…he introduced me as his friend, and then he took me to Taco Bell,” she further added. “And didn’t even buy me anything.” 

“Probably the worst date I have ever been on.” The golfer described her depressing experience in a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories.

Paige Spiranac used to give free golf lessons in pretence of a date!

“So in college, I had a hard time getting dates,” Spiranac said in the video. “So I used golf as an in and be like, ‘Give you free golf balls, give you lessons.'”

Furthermore, she explained that one guy, who already had a girlfriend, used her to get free golf lessons and even got better at golf. She also added that she even gifted her college golf bag to one guy since she liked him. “And so, he has my SDSU ((San Diego State University) golf bag with my name on it,” she added. “I never got it back, and he was never my boyfriend.” 

Girls stalked Spiranac during her college years! 

In her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’, Spiranac revealed that girls used to stalk her when she was in college. 

According to her, since she was interested in sports and worked out, she used to go to the gym every day in college. However, the girls mistook her and thought she had an interest in the strength trainer. Additionally, she explained that the stalking got so intense that she had to delete her Instagram account and create another one. 

Spiranac had to face a lot of struggles during her college years. From not being able to get a proper date to getting stalked by mean girls for no good reason…she saw it all. However, everything worked out for her in the end, and Spiranac has become one of the most confident women on the internet.
