Ever since they arrived in the music industry, the Korean boy band, famously known as BTS, has ruled the hearts of millions of fans. With nine studio albums and seven world tour records, the Bangtan Boys group of seven is among the most famous boy bands of this generation. Their accolades include Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and five-time Grammy Award nominations. Apart from their infinite love for music, they also have a soft spot for golf.

The boys are currently dismantled to serve their country for two years and will be reunited in 2025. However, while their music career has come to a small halt, some group members have demonstrated a love for golf.

The BTS Boys and their love for golf

Currently, the BTS members have signed up for compulsory military service in Korea, but before that, for many years they lived a star-studded life with a busy schedule. But, despite their busy routines, there are a few names in the group who enjoy playing golf and take time out of their tight schedule for this particular sport.

Kim Taehyung, the first member, is Kim Taehyung, who is famously known as V and is also a huge fan of golf. He started playing golf two years ago, in 2021, and since then has brushed his swing skills and made them smoother. In such a short time, he improved so much that he even shared the greens with a professional golfer.

Around a year ago, news of his golf outing with actor Park Seojoon and LPGA golfer Danielle Kang was around. Kang also shared some glimpses of her outing with the BTS member. Taehyung enjoys golfing a lot, and among the BTS members, he is most popular for having a passion for the sport. He has shared some clips of the same on some of his blogs as well. Later, when he shared the experience on his Instagram and asked his fans to rate his skills, Kang sweetly awarded him a 100.

Last year he fulfilled the wish of his father of them golfing together. In Feb 2022, V posted on Twitter “On a really good day I’ve hit 175~82 ish distance with a 7 iron [golf club] (a flex/brag).” When asked by a fan who he played with he answered, “My dad said it was his wish to go out to the green with his son so it’s been about 3? weeks since I started learning. but I’m still getting my feet wet.” Looks like the love for golf runs in the family. There are also a few other BTS members who like to golf.

Other than Taehyung, Jin also enjoys the gentleman’s sport. He also likes sharing a round of golf with movie stars. Last year, Jin went golfing with South Korean actor Lee Sang-yeob for an afternoon. Later that day, Lee Sang shared pictures of their sports outing, where the golfer and the actor wore matching shoes and outfits. The list of K-Pop stars loving golf sure doesn’t end here!

Min Yoongi too loves golf and guided Taehyung in his early golfing days

Another name on this list is Min Yoongi, who has been playing the sport for a long time now. When Kim Taehyung showed interest in golf, he helped his BTS friend with his new interest. In V Live in October 2021, all members went live to interact with fans before their ‘Permission to Dance’ concert.

During the live, BTS’ leader Kim Namjoon revealed that Taehyung has been playing golf recently. While Yoongi himself nodded with his eyes closed, Other than golf, Yoongi also plays basketball. The other band members are never seen playing golf, but there is a chance that they enjoy it as well since half of the band already enjoys it. The sport of golf is so enchanting that it has fans from all quarters of different occupations.
