Does Cameron Kuchar’s Brother Carson Play Golf?

After the PNC Championship’s first round, surprisingly it was Cameron Kuchar and Matt Kuchar who stayed at the top. This year’s tournament edition is a full-on family affair as players’ family members such as their daughters, fathers, or wives are caddying for them. The Kuchar duo is no different!

Kuchar Sr. has his father, Peter Kuchar, on the bag, and his son has his brother, Carson Kuchar on the bag. Carson played with his father at the 2022 PNC Championship and is now again on the greens in a new role. Know all about the Kuchar family’s tennis star who has taken after his mother, Sybi Kuchar.

Carson Kuchar is the youngest child of Matt and Sybi Kuchar who was born in 2009. The two children of the Kuchar family are enthusiastic about sports. While the oldest, Cameron Kuchar, plays golf and follows in his dad’s footsteps, the youngest Kuchar plays tennis just like his mother.

Sybi Kuchar was a tennis player in her college days at Georgia Tech, however, she later stopped playing and focused more on the educational side. Although it seems her talent has traversed into her youngest child. Carson Kuchar is a junior tennis player and plays in the 14 and under (boys) category.

One match wherein Carson Kuchar competed was on 6th December at the 2023 ‘Little Mo’ Internationals in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The 14-year-old, however, lost the aforementioned match but won the ‘Blue Division’ match organized by Battle of Boca. He won against Antione Tardiff and won $100 in prize money. The 14-year-old stands 201 in the National ranking and 8th in South Carolina’s rankings.

Earlier this year, the PGA Tour pro and his wife chose to migrate to South Florida to help their children further in their careers. Kuchar talked about their move and said, “We were looking for higher-level sports. We got great tennis down here  and great golf down here.”

The move inevitably benefitted his youngest son’s career, as he got the Olympian coach, Jay Berger, for his tennis play. Although Carson has not won any national title yet, the youngest shows great potential for becoming a great tennis player in the future. Kuchar family and both the siblings share a nice bond and it was visible during the tournament’s first day.

Carson is presently caddying for his older brother at the PNC Championship. The idea of him caddying for Cameron was incepted at this year’s Thanksgiving dinner. The idea behind Carson caddying for his brother was to complete an entire family circle.

While playing a looper at the Ritz-Carlton golf club, Carson became a reason for Team Kuchar’s various birdies. Kuchar made an eagle on the 3rd hole and dedicated his shot to his youngest son and said, “That’s for you, Carson”. Afterward, it became a humorous joke for them to call out Carson’s name after every shot.
