There is no denying Tiger Woods’s dominance on the golf course. But his influence is far from being limited to the fairways. Woods has developed into a clever businessman carefully creating a business empire to match his sporting accomplishments. Even while his earnings as a golfer are unprecedented, they still only make up a small portion of his $1.1 billion net worth. His business endeavors are the real secret to his financial success.

He actively shapes the future of the sport he loves as an entrepreneur and investor. Woods’ corporate umbrella, TGR Ventures, has allowed him to diversify his holdings, including entertaining mini-golf courses, restaurants, and upscale real estate. Under the holdings, Tiger Woods is involved with TGL as an ideator and part owner.

Not only is Woods endorsing Jupiter Links GC with his name, but he is also a co-founder of TMRW Sports, the organization that created TGL. The 15x major champion is also a partial owner of the team he is playing in. Renowned sports investor David Blitzer has a personal stake in Jupiter Links GC. He is now the first individual to own stock in five major sports teams in North America.

Woods’s Jupiter Links GC team boasts an outstanding roster. Max Homa, Tom Kim, and four-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner have joined Woods. Each golfer has shown enthusiasm for collaborating with the GOAT.

Homa said, “It’s really exciting to call Tiger, Tom, and Kevin teammates. Thanks to TGL, I’ll be able to play with some of the best golfers in the world and bring this unique and exciting format to golf while also finding ways to connect with one of the best golf markets in the country, South Florida.” Homa was paired up with Woods for the first two days of Masters, and he loved every bit of it. The golfer explained the two days as a fan experience with the best seat.

Kim had a similar sentiment when he added, “I am so excited about playing in the TGL format with this group of guys. Obviously, I grew up inspired by Tiger Woods, but Max and Kevin are two of my favorite guys out on Tour. Both are genuinely good guys, but both also have a similar competitive fire.”

Kisner was grateful and remarked, “I feel very privileged to have played in the Tiger Era. Having the opportunity to compete against and alongside the GOAT has been one of the things I’ll remember most at the end of my career.” He also proved that they were a force to be reckoned with when he said, “When Tiger’s competitive fire kicks in, we are going to be ready to play and win.”

Other than the star-studded roster, Jupiter Links GC also revealed its brand identity and logo. The team’s logo and the chosen color scheme seem to be very thoughtful.

The team’s logo is Palm Flag that blends golf and beach elements, the logo embodies the lively vitality of Jupiter, Florida. The trademark style of Woods is reflected in the handwritten type, while the sun rising is symbolized by the palm branches that split the red circle. Subtly, the remaining three golfers of the team are also made part of the logo via distinct sections of pins. The team’s color palette is Tiger Red, which pays homage to Woods’ go-to Sunday attire. It is contrasted with a refreshing blue that brings to mind Florida beaches.

With shorter playing times and a focus on entertainment, TGL is poised to broaden the appeal of golf, attracting new fans while still keeping the core elements of the game exciting for existing enthusiasts. Are you excited to see the first match of TGL starting from January 7, 2025, on ESPN?
