LIV Golf has received an enormous amount of controversy from people across the globe. LIV chief, Greg Norman, has been on the hunt for the best golfers in the world to have them join his league. The likes of Phil Mickelson and many more famous players are the reason behind the close success of the Saudi-backed tour.

LIV Golf made its USP very clear at the beginning, which was offering huge amounts of money to the players. It was all possible because of the investments made by Saudi Arabia. But Norman’s strategies have proven to be a boon for their investments. It was also recently confirmed by ex-POTUS, Donald Trump, who talked about how investing in LIV Golf has helped Saudi Arabia.

Donald Trump addresses Saudi Arabia’s investment in LIV.

Ex-President Donald Trump was at an event where he talked about the benefits of investing huge amounts of money in the LIV Golf Series for Saudi Arabia. “I think LIV has been a great thing for Saudi Arabia and for the image of Saudi Arabia,” Trump said. He added, “I think it’s going to be an incredible investment from that standpoint, and that’s more valuable than lots of other things because you can’t buy that-even with billions of dollars.”

Last week, Trump called out the PGA Tour players to simply “take the money” and join the Norman-led rival golf tour. The league indeed pays out a lot of money to the players who win their events. In fact, the one who manages to win the 54-hole LIV Golf Invitational Series events will receive $4 million as an individual prize. And each person on the winning team will get $750,000. Moreover, even the one who finishes last won’t be disappointed after receiving $120,000.

In his response to the criticism he received from the families of all 9/11 victims, he said“I don’t know much about the 9/11 families. I don’t know what the relationship is to this and their very strong feelings, and I can understand their feelings.” Even Trump is muddled that his words about the involvement of Saudi Arabia in the attacks have somehow led to LIV golf events happening at one of his golf clubs.
