Donald Trump has been finding himself in trouble a lot recently. The FBI has swatted several of Trump’s estates around the American borders in recent weeks. Adding to more of Trump’s legal dismay, it was recently reported that the 76-year-old could face up to six months in prison for the misuse of his Presidential seal which he used for his golf courses. However, Trump’s organization has denied such accusations.

Donald Trump has been a vocal supporter of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. The lucrative Tour hosted its third event at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster. Trump’s course in Miami which is famously known as Blue Monster, will host the final LIV Golf event of the year. Trump also participated in the inaugural Pro-Am event of the Saudi-backed Tour.
The Billionaire business tycoon has been an amateur golfer for several years. However, Trump only got involved in the sport as a golf course developer in 1999. Since then, he has contributed to the sport in many ways. Nevertheless, after becoming the 45th President of the United States, Trump has reportedly been using his designation for the wrong reasons which has resulted in him falling in trouble.
Is Donald Trump in trouble for breaking federal law?
Forbes reporter Zach Everson, reported earlier this year in June, that an Instagram photo showed the presidential logo clearly placed in the fairway at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The sign on the course read, “45th President 45 yards from hole on 18.”

Everson pointed out that not only is it illegal to use the seal in this way, but this is also the fourth Trump golf club to do so. The seal is also on display at Trump golf facilities in the Bronx, New Jersey, and Jupiter, Florida.
According to 18 U.S. Code § 713, it is illegal to use the Presidential seal for advertising or promoting a different entity. If found guilty, one may find himself/herself fined or behind prison bars for six months or sometimes even both. However, the Trump Organization are likely aware of their breaching of law.
A podcast named “Trump, Inc”, found a batch of markers similar to the ones that appeared at Trump properties back in 2018. The Trump Organization promptly removed the markers after attributing the incident to ardent supporters.

The organization talked about the allegations back in 2018. They said to the podcast, “The plaques were presented to the club by a small group of members, who are incredible fans of the president, in honor of Presidents’ Day weekend.” The plaques around the city had also been removed temporarily according to the organization. However, they’re yet to make a new statement regarding the allegations.
Whether Donald Trump is in trouble or not, it’s up to the court to decide. This only adds to the upcoming challenges for the former president. However, Trump isn’t new to facing government and public scrutiny. So this legal issue too just pass for the 45th President of the United States.
