Donald Trump has played a major influence on the sport of golf. Being an amateur golfer himself, the business tycoon owns several golf courses around the world and has been the host of many PGA Tour events over the years. However, the Trump Organisation has announced a long-term relationship with the Saudi-funded LIV Golf in the upcoming years.

Around the world of golf, several fans have criticized Trump for cheating while playing golf. However, John Daly once came out in support of the 45th President and then went on to call out another former President for cheating while playing golf. The alleged cheater was none other than Bill Clinton, according to the 2 time Major winner.

The 56-year-old said, “It’s funny how these people say, ‘does he cheat?’ Well, when he goes out and plays, if he hits a bad shot, he might hit a Mulligan, but he doesn’t count it when we’re playing the match”. Mulligan refers to taking another chance at a shot after a poor first attempt.

Daly doubles down his opinion and then called out someone else at the Oval office. He said, “It’s just amazing that people call him a cheat in golf. You wanna call a cheat in golf? I’ll tell ya, Bill Clinton, he took a Mulligan on putts, chips, when I played with him”.

The golfer also adds that Bill Clinton would not be able to break the 100-score barrier on an 18-hole course. However, he believes that Trump can complete it under 90 shots. Big John said, “I don’t think Bill Clinton could’ve broken 100. At least the President, Mr. Trump, he can shoot 80. 78 to 84, probably”.

Many have regarded Donald Trump as one of the best golfers to take over the oval office. But at the end of the day, everybody has their opinion. Whether John Daly is speaking the truth, one will only get to know after watching Clinton in a pro-am event. As far as Trump is concerned, with a handicap of 2.8, it’s safe to say he’s a decent golfer.
