The PGA Tour golfer, Rory McIlroy, won the 2022 Tour Championship, the season-end event. As it was the last one of the FedExCup Playoffs, he also became the FedExCup champion with his victory at the Easy Lake Golf Course.

The entire golf world celebrated and congratulated the Irishman for his win. However, the infamous Australian author, Nick Adams, didn’t have the same opinion about McIlroy’s win!

“The world needs more America first golfers like Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau,” Adams, who is also a conservative activist, tweeted a day after he won the FedExCup Playoffs. “And fewer woke frauds like Rory McIlroy!” his tweet further read.

Notably, Adams is one of the favorite authors of Donald Trump. He had praised the author’s book, Green Card Warrior, through his Twitter page when he was still serving as the President of the United States.

Notably, the first two are a few of the golfers who have signed with LIV Golf for its Invitational Series. Although many criticized them for joining the Tour’s rival league; some like Trump have shown support to them.

In fact, the former POTUS had even let the league official use his Trump National GC in Bedminister to conduct one of its events. He has even played the Pro-Am which the LIV Golf conducted at his GC. Moreover, he had criticized the Tour players for not signing with the LIV Series.

On the contrary, McIlroy is a sound supporter of the PGA Tour. He has always spoken for the American golf organization and against the LIV league. He had even stated that the Series has “ripped” the men’s professional golf recently.

Nick Adams hasn’t mentioned anything about LIV Golf or the PGA Tour in his post. However, the name of the entities in the tweet makes us wonder whether he is indirectly taking a dig at McIlroy for supporting the Tour officials.
