Bryson DeChambeau is one of the very popular names who defected to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League. The pro golfer named his move from the PGA Tour to the LIV Golf League as a personal business decision. Dechambeau received a whopping $100 million+ guaranteed in the form of his contract with LIV Golf. Ever since, Bryson has been embracing his new life at LIV.

However, shifting to LIV is obviously accompanied by an overwhelming round of backlash. Recently, DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka gave an interview regarding LIV Golf players’ demand for being awarded World ranking points by the Official Golf World Rankings. Although, they faced wide criticism for the same. Bryson, however, recently responded to the backlash.

Bryson DeChambeau reacts to criticism faced for OGWR comments

Both Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka received heavy backlash from Twitterati on their comments over OGWR’s delay in making a decision regarding setting in place a system for awarding world ranking points to LIV Golfers.

Bryson even said, “We’re gonna keep dropping down in the rankings until it gets to the point that our rankings won’t ever matter. And that’s what they’re trying to accomplish, and I hope people can see right through that instead of believing the lies they’ve been told.”

The duo was brutally honest in their opinion. This triggered a lot of criticism online. Although when the trolling went overboard, Bryson decided to speak up.

DeChambeau replied to some comments on Instagram. The comment talked about how “easy” it is to get into LIV Golf, and how it won’t be so easy to get everything sorted out so soon. This indirectly implied the OGWR points the players had asked for.

DeChambeau was quick to reply. He said,I’m good till 2026 per my US Open win… I’m looking out for others that deserve points playing up against the likes of DJ Brooks Cam and numerous others. And if you did your research you would see we have hit every criterion…don’t be quick to criticize, be quick to try and understand”

On the issue of LIV being a no-cut event, DeChambeau was quick to counter. He said, “Wrong… plenty of no-cut events elsewhere…you can qualify through the Asian tour… not complaining at all. Try to understand before you bash. And on that, I’m going to bed.”
