The game of golf has seen a lot of talented people take the greens over the years. And Nicolai Højgaard, after turning professional in 2019, has proved his mettle a number of times on the golf course over the past four years. And he has managed to turn many heads in his direction once again with a commendable performance at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Although the golfer’s skills are nothing to be scoffed at, curiosity remains about the other aspects of the Danish professional. The choice of hardware that he has armed himself with has undoubtedly piqued the interest of many of his fans.

The talented athlete and Rasmus Højgaard’s brother clinched his first win on the DP World Tour during the 2021 DS Automobiles Italian Open, after which he emerged victorious at the 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Championship. The 22-year-old, along with his brother, had signed with TaylorMade in 2019. However, they changed to Callaway at the beginning of 2023, owing to which he has a total of five top-10 finishes in the year.

Højgaard turned to Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond, priced at $599.99. Coupled with a Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei White AV 70X shaft, the club lofted at 10.5° is able to provide the player with a neutral ball flight, all the while producing low spin, leading to more carry.

His choice of fairways falls on the Callaway Paradym Diamond with a 16.5°, 20° loft. Attached to the three woods is a Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei 1k Pro White 80-TX shaft, while the higher lofted tool has a Fujikura Ventus Red shaft coupled with it. The equipment, priced at around $349.99, is a perfect choice for golfers who want a high-launching fairway club with a neutral ball flight.

The Danish golfer turns to the Callaway X21 Utility with 20 degrees of loft for his three-iron, which is combined with a Project X LZ 7.0 shaft. Coming to his other clubs, the professional uses the Callaway Apex MB for his set of 4-iron down to the 10-iron, which has a rust finish to it. All the tools are attached to the same shaft as his 3’s. Sometimes, the professional can also be spotted using the Callaway Apex TCB three-iron.

The 2X DP World Tour champ depends on the Callaway Jaws Raw (50°) and the Callaway Jaws Full Toe (56° and 60°) for his wedges. The whole set is attached to the Project X LZ 6.5 shafts. The Jaws Raw, priced at $179.99, is made with tungsten for a balanced weight, offering the player better feel and comfort. The full-toe wedges cost $179.99 and promote maximum spin when hitting the ball and better control, providing an easier time with the bunker shots.
