The golf community has received some major news today. Just a couple of weeks ago, we heard of the new Greg Norman led venture on the Asian Tour. Backed by Saudi Golf, it is set to pump in a staggering $200 million into the Asian Tour. In retaliation, the European Tour has come up with something, and even better, the PGA Tour approves.
The European Tour, or as we now know it, the DP World Tour, has had some significant changes. 2022 is the Tour’s 50th anniversary and prior to it, not only have they changed their name, they have boosted the prize fund to a massive $200 million.

Introducing the DP World Tour…#DPWorldTour
— The European Tour (@EuropeanTour) November 9, 2021
“Our two tours are stronger than at any time in our respective histories, and in part through our strategic alliance, we are both positioned to grow faster in the next ten years than we have at any point in our existence,” Monahan said. “The DP World European Tour partnership is a prime example of that growth, and of a tighter-knit ecosystem with the world of professional golf.”
