But is he ready to handle the heat? He has been away from the pro scene for a long time, so it will take some time for him to adjust. But it looks like LIV Golf has complete trust in the golf prowess of the next Tiger Woods. And they have even offered him multiple perks for it!

Anthony Kim is showered with perks by LIV Golf

While the American golfer will be preparing for Jeddah, that event will surely not be his last. According to golf insider Bob Harig, Kim will be attending 11 LIV Golf events starting in Jeddah. However, it is still unclear which team he will be joining in 2024. But this perk from the breakaway league means a constant source of revenue for the returning golfer.

According to Harig, if Kim had stuck with the PGA Tour, he could have gotten a Tour card easily as a past champion. On the American Tour, AK would have gotten entry into plenty of the events, thanks to his past champion status and sponsor invites. But he would have had to perform well to obtain a purse. But on LIV Golf, it seems that Kim has a sure source of income.

According to the reports, the returning golfer is guaranteed a paycheck of $50,000 per event. With 11 assured events, the golfer will be making $550,000.

Kim’s “rebirth” and “dance of redemption” in Jeddah will be a treat to the eyes. The financial perks along with the $10 million insurance payout makes the Californian golfer’s switch to LIV Golf a smart move. Interestingly, Kim is also happy about his decision.

What does Anthony Kim has to say about his move?

While the status of his team is unclear, Kim will remain a wild card player for the rest of 2024. This means he, along with Hudson Swafford, will be going against 13 four-player teams.

Talking about joining LIV Golf, he said, “It’s been a long time coming, and I’m very grateful for all the highs, lows, and lessons learned from the first part of my career.” While the American golfer is happy to join LIV Golf, another man is more elated.

That man is none other than Greg Norman! The LIV Golf CEO and mastermind was actively involved in the negotiations with Kim. All thanks to Norman’s efforts that the American golfer has decided to return. Now how beneficial is this move from the great white shark? Only time will tell.
