Emotion Ridden Tiger Woods’ Mother Once Revealed His Only Victory That Left Her in Tears

Watching one of your family members win various majors could be very emotional. However, this is not the case with Kultida Woods. The mother of Tiger Woods doesn’t shed tears when his son wins. Except in one instance when she had moist eyes.

Eldrick Woods has won various major championships and PGA Tour events. However, some of them were made even more special with his family being with him. Sometimes these paramount moments can make the family members of the golf professionals emotional. Kultida Woods’ words from back in 2009 prove that sometimes the emotions of seeing your child’s success can make you shed a tear.

Kultida revealed how she is good with handling emotions but once at the Open Championship got emotional for his son.

She said, “I don’t show emotional. Even when Tiger win at Masters first time, and the old man sobbing, I was very happy but not break down. At U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, on Sunday when all the people on the fairway bowed to him, I think ‘That’s nice.’ But that’s all.”

She added, “Only at St. Andrews, when Tiger win his first British Open and finish the Grand Slam, when he was coming up the last hole of the Old Course, which is so much history, and all the people are waving and applauding, and I thought.” “That is my son.’ I got a damp in my eye. It just come up.” Kultida’s emotions prove the amount of love she has for Woods and how much his achievements mean to her.

When did Tiger Woods win his first Open Championship?

Woods won his first-ever British Open Championship back in 2000. He won the major at the home of golf in St Andrews. His win at the Open Championship back in 2000 was his fourth major championship win. Tiger won the event at the home of golf with an overall score of 19-under-par and won the event with a whopping eight-shot lead. Woods carded a final round of three-under-par 69.

His final-round heroics at the event included only a single birdie and all pars on the front nine. As a result, made the turn in one-under-par, 35. Thomas Bjorn and Ernie Els finished as the runner-ups to Woods with an overall score of 11-under-par for the tournament.
