The video game known as Fortnite has made waves in the gaming industry since its release in 2017. This has especially been the case with the younger generation of gamers in the field. And in a peculiar albeit similar situation of sorts, even an expert LIV Golfer was dragged into the Fortnite fever despite having no idea about the same.

Golf may not have had a lot of interaction with the video game industry but whenever it has come into contact with the latter, it leaves both the communities wanting for more. Similar was the case with the LIV defector as his Instagram update about the popular battle royale title came as a surprise to both worlds.

Many LIV Golfers have brought the spotlight upon themselves since the inception of the Saudi-backed league but this time, one of the defectors has found himself at the center for a completely different reason. Ian Poulter, a while back, shared a story on his social media handle about the game of Fortnite which drew a lot of attention from the golfing and the gaming community.

In the update on Instagram, the 47-year-old shared a video of his son, an avid gamer, playing the battle royale. Joshua James Poulter was spotted communicating with his teammates and asking them if they were ready in the video. He did so to make sure that the team was all set for being dropped off on the map.

The Poulter family and their collectibles

The English golfer shared a series of stories on his social media handle after the Fortnite video which showed his son sitting amongst at least 9 boxes of PSA card slabs. Calling them just fanatics would not do them justice as the duo was seen unboxing the set of cards which included a lot of grade-10s. The Junior Poulter was surprised as to how many high-grade collectibles they received in the boxes.
