Just a few weeks ago, everyone thought the LIV Golf Series was probably all wrapped up. However, with the Saudi-backed league back as a frontrunner, we have a few stars already looking to play.

Unfortunately, not all players think like Bland. Golfers like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have spoken against the series, and have sided with the PGA Tour. With them being the big names in the industry, it might be difficult for the series to actually draw in an audience.

The series will feature 54-hole tournaments, scheduled across the globe this year. They will encompass a five-month time period while boasting its biggest USP, the prize purse. At this point, the money offered is more than the tour and should be enough to draw in players.

Notably, players like Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood have asked to play as well. Unlike someone against the event, Westwood is viewing it as an opportunity to play and make the most out of it.

That being said, one cannot say for sure if these events will happen. However, there might soon be more players to add to the list, making it possible.
