Golf is considered a privileged game, and the players earn in millions. But they also make it a point to give back to society. They may do it in the form of charity, or by coaching aspirational youngsters for free. One such team, which plays in the LIV Golf circuit, won hearts by spending time with some kids to talk about the game.

The children belonged to Amigos For Kids, an organization that helps underprivileged minors. Their mission statement says they aim “to prevent child abuse, and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families, and educating communities”.

The LIV Golf team that we are talking about is none other than Torque GC. Although in the last six golfing events, the team has taken titles thrice, their performance fell short at LIV Golf Miami 2023. As a result, the team lost out on the $14 million win.

Not to be bogged down by failure, Torque GC decided to spend time with children who need support and encouragement. The golf team also shared things about golf and sports in general with the little kids. Isn’t it heartwarming?

Like other teams in LIV Golf, the Torque GC team has four members. These include Joaquin Niemann, who is the captain and winner of two PGA Tour events. The remaining team members are Sebastian Munoz, Mito Pereira and David Puig.

Earlier, Torque GC had only Japanese golf players. It was then led by Hideto Tanihara, who has won the Japan Golf Tour title 16 times, and the Asian Tour title twice. The other three team members were also Japan Golf Tour winners, including Ryosuke Kinoshita, Yuki Inamori and Jinichiro Kozuma.
