Tony Finau seems to be unstoppable with his current form. He’s won back-to-back PGA Tournaments after claiming the win at the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic. After his win, Finau shared a few words which touched a lot of hearts including his fellow PGA Tour star Justin Thomas who conveyed his thoughts about Finau on Twitter.

Tony Finau dominated the field on Sunday to win for the second week in a row, one week after winning the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities. He finished the Rocket Mortgage Classic final round with a 5-under par.

Finau won by five strokes over Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Smith, and Taylor Pendrith as he concluded the competition at 26-under par. He, therefore, became one of a select group of players who have won two weeks in a row by at least three strokes.

Following his fourth professional win in Detroit Golf Club, Finau shared words of wisdom with all the viewers. The 32-year-old shared how his positive mindset has been a key factor in his recent success.

Tony Finau said, “They say a winner is just a loser that kept on trying, and that’s me to a tee. How many times do I lose? But one thing I won’t do is give up, and I’m only here as a winner because I chose not to give up and just kept going.”

Finau’s wise words along with his win were admired by many fans and golfers including the two-time Major champion Justin Thomas. The 29-year-old  took to Twitter to share an appreciation post about Tony. Thomas also labeled Finau as a great role model for the young generation.

JT tweeted, “Amazing quote from @tonyfinaugolf. One of the nicest guys on Tour, but he also represents everything one could want in a role model and the work ethic/determination he’s shown. Congrats to him and his team on an amazing 2 weeks.”

Finau’s last professional win came last year at the Northern Trust Tournament. However, before that, he only had one professional win which came at the Puerto Rico Open back in 2016. Despite all the struggles, the will to never give up has brought the winning side of the Big Tone.
