Tiger Woods’ ex-caddie discloses the golfer’s best swing coach

Woods has been playing golf since he was merely a kid. The 15-time major winner had had a pretty interesting past with the sport. However, there is no doubt in the fact that every great sportsman requires an amazing teacher. And in Woods’ case, it has been more than just one teacher who has taught him the basics and the most complicated parts of the game.

The golf legend has specifically worked for his swing under the guidance of many different coaches. The first coach he trained under for his swing was Butch Harmon from 1993 to 2004. Training under Harmon certainly got out the best form in the golfer, and he made tons of records in that era. But later he improved his game under Hank Haney from 2004 to 2010. He learned from a few other coaches until 2017 and has been taking care of his own game ever since.

However, Woods’ former caddie, Steve Williams, has seen the golfer training under most of these coaches. He said“A couple of his very, very best tournaments, where I say he played the best he’s ever played, were under Butch. But I think consistently across the board I think his swing became more repetitive and more consistent under Hank.”

According to Williams, Woods improved his swing impressively while he was playing under the guidance of Hank Haney. But when it came to his most successful years, Woods was learning from Butch Harmon. Williams added, “he drove the ball better with Hank”.

When will Woods return to the field?

The golf legend has been going through a lot after suffering from his leg injuries from the car crash in February 2021. He was seen struggling to walk at the 150th Open, where his performance was majorly affected by the limp he had as he moved. After the event, Woods said“I have nothing, nothing planned. Zero.” about his plans for the future. He said he only wanted to play the 150th Open Tournament this year. And it is highly unlikely to have a glance of the golfer playing a major anytime soon.
