But he surely earned back all the respect of golf fans with his epic Masters Tournament finish. In fact, his performance at Augusta National has left a great impact on his own mindset regarding his upcoming tournaments. And with LIV Golf’s Adelaide Event coming up, the golfer recently expressed his excitement straight from Australia!

Phil Mickelson reflects on his unfathomable Masters win

Mickelson, 52, has been involved in countless controversies throughout his career as a professional golfer. Despite his memorable performances and unforgettable tournament victories on the PGA Tour, the golfer decided to leave behind his legacy and join the all-new LIV Golf League. And fans are well aware of how dedicated Lefty is to promoting and supporting Greg Norman’s circuit.

However, despite all his powerful statements about how good his decision to join the breakaway circuit is, Mickelson hasn’t really had any luck on the new tour yet. But his recent T2 finish at the Masters has given a new ray of hope to all his fans. And not only his supporters, but the golfer himself is now pretty confident about his current form.

Currently in Australia, Mickelson and his other fellows LIV Golfers are preparing themselves for the upcoming LIV Golf event in Adelaide. And during his interview on the course, Mickelson opened up about how thrilled he is to be back on the field in such good shape. “I certainly am excited to keep playing, and get into competitive mode,” he said. “Being here in Australia with this kinda support coming off for the finish at Augusta, I started to play some really good golf. Excited about where my game’s headed and looking forward to get back in the Mets.”

Does Mickelson still have the same supportive mindset toward LIV Golf?

Despite making it among the top 5 at such a prestigious PGA Tour event, fans expected Mickelson to have a turnaround of his feelings regarding the American Tour. But according to his recent statements, the golfer is still rooting for the Saudi League more than ever. A reporter recently tried to ask the golf star whether he would have left the PGA Tour if the new changes were brought a year back. And he replied, “I’m thankful it didn’t happen a year ago…I’m really happy with the way LIV has brought about new change to the game. Because this team aspect is something that we really never saw as a possibility in golf until LIV came along.”
