As we move ahead in the calendar, the golfers are getting their rhythm back, and with each event, the competition is getting more intense. Despite the many events, there are only three golfers who won two or more events in 2025. The first two are the World No.1 and 2, while the third is at the peak of his career with OWGR 9. The Austrian professional, Sepp Straka, has been showcasing pure dominance with his performance, and unlike others, he has been showcasing consistency with his performance since the beginning.

However, despite the inclined career graph, he shared in an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports with host, Andrew Whitelaw. Straka exclusively shared about the quality he would want to adopt from a particular fellow golfer.

Picking the statement, ES’s host shared in the interview how Rory McIlroy had once shared that he would pick Scottie Scheffler’s consistency as the trait. On that same note, Andrew Whitelaw asked, “What’s one trait you’d like to add to your game?” Answering, which Sepp Straka exclusively said, “Yeah, I mean his consistency is pretty incredible. You know he does it week in week out, just the way he can hit the number of different flights on the golf ball is pretty impressive.” The World No.1 is leading in strokes gained total (2.596), strokes gained approach to green (1.235), scoring average (68.35), and a lot more. The Dallas native, with his form, has been showcasing the top game, which has been the center of attention for other players as well.

Additionally, Straka shared during the podcast with ES, “We’re all pretty good at controlling our distances, but he’s hitting it with his number within one or two yards and altering his flight path on every shot, almost. I think that’s something that I would love to be able to do it to kind of shape the ball the way that Scottie does and still be able to hit my numbers as accurately. That’s a skill that not many people have had in golf, and yeah, I think that’s what makes Scottie so very special.”

Well, there isn’t any doubt about the consistency of the golfer, as he has been the OWGR leader for more than 140 weeks now. Not just his, but despite his rough start to the season, Scheffler has found his way back to two consecutive victories. Taking the inspiration from the best, Sepp Straka is not far behind with his consistent performance, which he wants to adopt.

Sepp Straka’s exceptional performance in 2025

The 32-year-old is currently having his prime year with his performance. In 2025, he had multiple top-15 and top-20 finishes, but what struck the golf community was his exceptional victories in the season. He won the American Express and the Truist Championship.

But with his consistent performance, it is worth checking the stats that he has achieved on the course. Straka is currently placed fifth with his stroke-gained total, which is 1.498. Not just his, but he is third in SG approach to green (1.027), second on birdie average (4.74), and eleventh on driving accuracy (67.57%). Besides these great stats, what stood out was his GIR%, which is 72%, and Proximity, which is 34′ 4.

Well, looking at the stats, it is clear that the Scheffler definitely is his idol. But with the consistency, it will be interesting to see when both the golfers will compete together at the upcoming PGA Tour events. Who do you think will take the lead, Straka or Scheffler?
