This past year, Phil Mickelson has been roaring at everyone who has bashed LIV Golf or any of its players. He has been quite upfront and open about his thoughts, and he has never shied away from standing up for the new league. It has been nearly a year since he first began his feud with the PGA Tour, its players, and the OWGR about rankings and the alleged unfair treatment that the players of the new series receive.

Standing up for the Saudi-backed league and its players has now become a routine activity for Lefty, be it in the press or on social media. Well, today was no different! And this time on the other end was no individual, but a major media house!

Golf Digest is a renowned and reputed media house that reports everything happening in the world of golf. It often reports what golfers say and do, both on and off the greens. They’re basically the holy media house of golf! Unfortunately, this time it was them that were the target of Mickelson’s recent trashing.

Golf Digest recently reported everything that has been going on with Phil Mickelson’s comments about OWGR and the change in the rule by the USGA. While the company explained everything in detail, laying out the facts for everybody to see, the 6-time major winner wasn’t impressed with their reporting.

He felt like his sentiments and feelings were toned down! The article was shared on Golf Digest’s Twitter handle, and they wrote,Phil Mickelson did not hold back.”

But Mickelson felt like injustice was done by his words in the published article, and he commented on Twitter under it, saying,FYI, this was the EXTREMELY watered down version of what I originally said.”

The 52-year-old LIV golfer thought that the golf media house had weakened his points and toned them down, despite Golf Digest’s report stating that the 3-time Masters winner openly called USGA’s rule change an absolute “d*ck move” and called out USGA Chief Executive Officer Mike Whan.

The golf pro has always been extremely bold with his comments. The only certainty in it all is that this almost definitely won’t be the last of Mickelson’s clap backs!

Mickelson fired more shots against unfair LIV treatment

Mickelson had quite a run when he was playing on the PGA Tour, winning 45 events. His decision to join the Saudi-funded league definitely came as a shock to everyone last summer. And besides being a player on the tour, he is also one of its biggest supporters.

Just recently, he engaged in yet another fight with a fan on Twitter. The fan was supporting the unfair treatment of LIV golfers, which wasn’t something Mickelson could take lying down. He lashed out at the PGA Tour loyalist, stating that there were laws in place for the unfair treatment that LIV players faced. It’s quite evident that he won’t shy away from taking a stand, no matter who’s on the other end.
