The hype is at its peak as the Netflix Cup kicked off just a little while back. The live sports event is underway at the Wynn Golf Club in Wynn Las Vegas and has already started off with its first tee shot.

The event decided to add a bit of spice to the first hole. However, contrary to popular belief, the first attempt at the same was not very welcomed by the golfing world as fans took to the internet to respond to the same, much to the surprise of many!

The Netflix Cup kicked off with its first hole in Las Vegas and it created a lot of waves in the sporting world. And, in an innovative surprise of sorts, they introduced a new aspect to the same in a bid to make it more exciting for the golfers.

The tournament followed the scramble format, where all the golfers on a team would hit the ball simultaneously. However, the first hole saw the two teams of the F1 drivers-PGA tour golfers tee it off hastily owing to the new rule that was introduced before the same.

As per the new idea, the team that holes the ball fastest in the first hole gets the tie-breaker. This led to chaos of sorts on the greens. The first match saw Justin Thomas and Carlos Sainz win the same. The duo would, later on, go ahead to emerge victorious at the tournament.

No one, including the golfers and the drivers, would have thought that the new rule would bring about so much chaos on the greens. However, what followed was the same on the internet as well as many took to the post to bash the same.

The X post of the live sports event saw a lot of people responding under the same as it raked in a frenzy of comments. The reactions talked of how it is just chaotic, all the while taking a jab at the Cup. Let us take a quick look at some of them.

One follower went ahead to express his frustration with the new live sport as the four athletes rushed to make the first hole. The Sainz-Thomas duo managed to win the same as the former putted the ball faster than his peers.

A follower went ahead to respond to the caption on the video, “Are you watching?” and commented on how they would refuse to tune into the match after seeing the video posted on the social media platform.

While some didn’t watch the event, they found a hilarious side to the same as he dubbed the video of the two pairs rushing among each other as nothing short of chaotic.

Well, someone was bound to say this. Running on the greens does come out as bad to a lot of people in the golfing community. And a fan pointed out how it is no different even if it is a famous person.

Another enthusiast replied how they were watching the event. However, he didn’t have a good opinion of the same after watching the first group teeing it up at the hole.
