Tiger Woods and Donald Trump respect each other. Woods has spoken highly of the POTUS in the past. In 2017, they played golf together, and after that Woods was impressed. “What most impressed me was how far he hits the ball at 70 years old. He takes a pretty good lash”, Woods said. Highlighting their bond, he shared, “Our discussion topics were wide-ranging; it was fun. We both enjoyed the bantering, bickering, and needling.” In 2021, Trump said, “As a golfer, he’s just incredible. He’s an incredible guy.” Their bond seems to be only getting better.

We’re going to get this game going in the right direction. It’s been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years. The fans want all the top players playing together and we’re going to make that happen,” Woods said.

The duo even played golf together in Florida on Super Bowl morning, just days after 15x major champion’s mum passed away. Charlie was also there. Amid all of these, Trump was speculated to make his appearance at the TGL today to witness the match between Jupiter Links and New York Golf Club. However, Josh Carpenter, golf reporter for the Sports Business Journal shared that such an appearance will not happen today. But one other member of the Trump family can be expected at the SoFi arena.

Trump’s granddaughter and golf prodigy Kai Trump is a regular attendee at TGL. She is a schoolmate of Charlie Woods and is also a huge Tiger Woods supporter. She has even supported ‘Sun Day Red’, amid ongoing legal disputes with Puma. She had posted a YouTube vlog golfing at the Trump National Golf Club at Bedminster. In that video, she wore a ‘Sun Day Red’ hoodie, voicing her nonverbal support for the 15-time major winner’s brand. Kai is also on good terms with Rory McIlroy and even teed off with him. clearly showing her good relations with the TGL founders.

But Trump’s involvement with the TGL is something that could very well happen in the future. This is not something far-fetched as the President is close friends with the founders.
