The first calendar event on the PGA Tour, the Sentry Tournament, is currently going on at the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort, Maui. While the competition is nail-biting, with every round bringing a new turn, it is not just the match that is attracting the fans.

This year, veteran golfer Kevin Kisner took on the responsibility of being an analyst for the event. Kisner is in Maui performing the role of golf analyst at NBC Sports, and fans seem to love every bit of it. Now the question arises whether he will be continuing his stint as an analyst or not.

Kevin Kisner to take up more analyst gigs in the future?

A few weeks ago, Paul Azinger left NBC Sports, and it gave Kisner a big chance to explore golf outside of the greens. He was quick to grab the opportunity. He will be continuing in this role for the upcoming PGA Tour’s Waste Management Phoenix Open, which will be held in February from 8th to 11th.

Sadly, this is not a full-time role (as of now), and Kisner will only be taking it up one more time in February. Speaking about this exciting opportunity, he previously said in a statement, “I’m excited to have this opportunity with NBC Sports to watch the game of golf from the other side and comment on what I’m seeing on the course.” And the fans love how Kisner is handling the job in a fun manner.

His jab at Jordan Spieth during the game was much enjoyed by the fans. He will continue this commentator job in February, and then he will go back to playing tournaments. But fans sure want to see more content from him. If the fans request it, then NBC could extend their contract with him. Kisner, too, was happy and excited for this new role. In the statement, he also said, “I’ve always respected how Tommy Roy and NBC Sports’ golf production team present golf on television.”

He continued, “I look forward to being a part of the broadcast team at The Sentry and the WM Phoenix Open and providing my insights to the viewers at home.” After finishing his analyst duties at the Sentry, he is ready to wear his golfer’s hat for the first full-field event of the 2024 PGA Tour season.

Kisner is ready to tee it up in Hawaii next week

Next weekend, the PGA Tour is hosting the Sony Open in Hawaii at the Wai’alae Country Club, and with it, Kisner is ready to pick up his clubs again. The prize purse for the Sony Open is a phenomenal $7.9 million, and aside from Kisner, other names like Will Zalatoris, Lucas Glover, and others will be chasing this purse as well. Currently, fans are in love with how efficiently he is performing his analyst duties.
