Kyle Porter, a golf writer, recently took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and shared a snippet from the second round of the championship at TPC San Antonio—a panning shot of Jimmy Walker, attempting to score his second birdie of the round. In the video, Jimmy Walker managed to take the putter back and strike the ball, but it failed to make it into the hole, which left him with a one-shot of a three-foot par putt.

However, what happened next even surprised the golfer himself, as he ended up snapping his putter’s head off the shaft. The incident took place during the ‘Happy Hour’ segment hosted by Smylie Kaufman. It was none other than Rory McIlroy in the chair, with him giving an interview.

In the first round, he carded a total of four bogeys, making a score of 2-over 74, and well, the second round met with pretty much the same fate and the same score. The round started with back-to-back bogeys until the par-4 fifth hole at the TPC San Francisco. It was there that he managed to secure himself a nice five-foot birdie putt.
