The event is all set to start on August 10 with a field of 70 players (in a changed format) taking on the Southwind course. The likes of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm will be headlining the tournament. Please note that after the new format came into being, only the top fifty players will advance to the next event (BMW Championship) as a result of which there will be no cutline in Memphis.

Brian Harman and Wyndham Clark are another two players who will be the center of attention having won a major each this year. PGA Tour pro Will Zalatoris, who emerged victorious last year, will not be seen at the event due to a back injury.
