In 2018, Spiranac was starting to get recognition through Social Media after she decided to quit her professional Golf career. Four years later, she is the most popular golf entity on the internet.

During that same year, Spiranac was selected as one of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model. In the interview, the social media star’s humbleness to newfound popularity can easily be visible. We take a deeper look at what Paige Spiranac said 4 years ago.

SI helped Paige Spiranac regain confidence

Spiranac considered that the photo shoot session with the popular American Magazine has helped her in regaining her lost confidence. She said, “I finally took back what is mine. I took back my body, I took back my sexuality and, ‘You guys want to see sexy? I’m going to do sexy and I’m going to do it my way.”

Spiranac further added how the shoot has helped her overcome her fears and feeling sexy again. She said, “It was really liberating to be myself and not feel I’m less than someone else or less of a person or that I haven’t accomplished anything or that I’m a slut or my parents hate me or all of these things people call me everyday and really embrace this sexy side and be confident and love who I am and love the skin I’m in.

The 29-year-old labeled the whole process as a very powerful moment. Spiranac then adds how she has struggled with depression in the past. She broke down in tears as she detailed the cruel treatment she has endured throughout her life.

Spiranac talked about the backlash she faced after receiving a sponsor’s exemption during the Dubai Ladies Master in 2015 that made it nearly impossible for her to manage. Moreover the continuous inconsiderate hate comments online also hurt her. But then the social media star ends the interview with a hinder of hope and joy.

No one can take this away from Spiranac

Paige Spiranac then expressed the joy she felt being part of a reputed magazine like Sports Illustrated. She said, “I’ve been a fan for such a long time and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would get the opportunity to be a part of the SI Swimsuit family.

Spiranac also adds how she was still in disbelief and the shoot still gives her chills. She then sent a final message to all her haters by saying, “If you like it (the shoot), great, if you don’t like it then that’s your issue but you’re never going to take away the fact that I’m a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and I’m going to have that for the rest of my life.” 

I guess it’s safe to say that Paige Spiranac has exceeded everyone’s expectations and become one of the most renowned social media influencers. Moreover after receiving the throne of Maxim’s 2022 Sexiest Woman Alive, Spiranac is only getting started.
