It is a common practice in the sporting industry for an athlete to partner with an apparel brand to enhance each other’s brand image. Moreover, the relationship between the duo is vital for both sides in their growth. Such has been the case with golfing legend Tiger Woods and Nike, as his work with the label has helped it become a big player in the golf apparel and equipment industry.

But while the alliance saw its fair share of controversy as the GOAT stopped using Nike shoes and started to use a different brand in 2022 after his injury, the latter shoe line saw a historic moment being engraved in its history. And in a stunning reveal of sorts, another golf player, this time from the LPGA Tour, came out to disclose her support for the brand on her Instagram handle leaving many surprised and curious.

Closely associated with the sporting event, FootJoy has been successful in creating some of the best-ever designs of golf gear in its long history. And now, while celebrating a century of glory, the $3.64 billion giant saw LPGA icon Jessica Korda take to her social media handle to congratulate the label.

The pro golfer shared a story on Instagram, a while back, as she conveyed her happiness in FootJoy’s success. She was seen mentioning how she was “proud to be an ambassador of a company that has been around for a hundred years,” while expressing her pride in the brand. Korda then went ahead to congratulate them for being a part of the golfing industry for a century.

Continuing on her wishes, the 6x LPGA Tour champion mentioned how she is also proud to be able to wear it. Moreover, Korda went ahead to say, “They’re able to adjust everything to exactly the player’s needs and everything inside FootJoy has been made by the players,” while referring to the specialty of the brand. She ended her story by asking her fans to support the label while wishing them the best.

Being an iconic brand that has been “worn, literally, by all the greats”, it has continued to keep getting better through many innovations. This has been evident as we saw one of the best in the game, Tiger Woods, turn to the shoe line last year.

The golf legend started to use FootJoy after his accident in 2021. He started wearing the brand’s footwear as he found it better for his mobility instead of donning the pair of shoes that carry the swoosh. Moreover, Woods had earlier revealed the reason for his new preference stating that he found it easier to swing in the new ones. When the 15 times major winner started to sport another brand instead of Nike, it came as a shock to the community and indubitably led many of his fans to take to the internet.

But even so, the legend’s relationship with the $182.7 billion giants still continues as he had revealed that they had been working with each other to come up with a solution to his mobility restriction. One can thus, only hope that the sporting world will be able to see the GOAT wearing his Nikes on the golf course soon.
