Tiger Woods is a legend, and there is no doubt about that. People love him for his consistency and techniques. But sometimes, the perfect golfer Woods loses his cool. A few years back, fans witnessed such an instance.

Fans note every little detail about their favorite sports person. Golfers are often in the news for their aggression on the court, but to see this side of Woods was undoubtedly not a treat, and it had got people talking.

Tiger Woods lost his cool

In 2012, Tiger Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill by five shots. He broke his record of losing for the last 30 months. He won the $1.08 million winner’s share. And obviously, his form made his fans happy. But it was not an easy win. He had to face rough losses before.

On day 2 in Augusta during PGA Tour 12- Masters, Woods lost his cool, and fans all witnessed his angry side. He missed a shot badly, which resulted in throwing down his clubs. He threw his 9- iron and kicked it hard in the range.

After losing the shot, his chances of winning his 5th Master were getting thin. Woods realized it and lost control of his game and his temper. He went to the 16th hole and played his tee shot into a bunker. Before the ball could even reach the ground, Woods dropped his club to the ground and kicked it. His action got many people talking.

People had several opinions about Woods’ actions. After showcasing his angry side, he became the talk of the town. Former CBS analyst Nick Faldo commented on Woods while he was on the air. He said, “I think we can safely say Tiger has lost his game … and his mind.” And it wasn’t just Faldo. There were more.

Hank Haney, the former swing coach, also revealed something about Woods in his book. He wrote Woods gave him silent treatment whenever he played poorly. And he tweeted and said that he was glad it wasn’t him.
When reporters asked Woods about his tantrum on the course, he kept a positive attitude and calmly kept talking about his game. He said it was a simple 9-iron and wasn’t a tough shot.
