LIV Golf has given a new face to the world of golf. The best players from the PGA Tour have now joined the new Saudi circuit for its shorter schedules and lucrative financial deals. LIV Golf has received support from various important members of the US; one of them being the former POTUS, Donald Trump. His support for the league is clear with his involvement in the upcoming LIV Golf events.

Donald Trump plays an important role in LIV Golf’s upcoming events

If there is one man who has stood by Greg Norman and supported him from the beginning, it is Donald Trump. The former US President has made several efforts to promote LIV Golf and its business with Saudi Arabia. He even called out PGA Tour players to join the new league and leave their former tour.

The former president owns several golf courses including the Trump National Golf Clubs in Bedminster, Charlotte, Colts Neck, etc. And he has also hosted a couple of LIV Golf events at his golf clubs. In fact, the Trump National Golf Club, Charlotte, North Carolina was designed by LIV CEO, Greg Norman.

And this has allowed Norman to organize future LIV Golf events at Trump’s golf clubs. According to the recent revelations regarding LIV Golf’s finale events, one of the tournament will be played at Trump Doral. And Donald Trump is more than happy hosting Norman’s LIV events at his clubs.

How is LIV Golf conducting its finale events?

According to a letter sent to the players on Tuesday, the finale of the LIV Golf tournaments is being organized for Oct. 28-30, 2022. It will be a unique mixture of stroke play and match play for the players. The quarter-finals, semifinals, and championship round will be held on 28th, 29th, and 30th October respectively.

The total purse for the event is $50 million. And the winning team will take home a split of $16 million among the four players. The runners-up will receive $10 million, while the third place will be rewarded with $8 million. The next event will take place in Bangkok.
