Bryson DeChambeau’s love for distance and ball speed is a well-known fact around the golf world. He was a part of the World Long Drive Championship last year, looking happier than he was ever been. Of course, DeChambeau has been indulgent of the same, often sharing his progress or view with supportive fans.
The 28-year-old is currently playing at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Unlike other PGA Tour events, this one invites previous year’s winners to play. It is a guaranteed field of entertainment, especially as the tour’s best come together for four days.

While winning must certainly be on his mind, DeChambeau also chose to highlight his ball speed. “200 mph ball speed felt easy today. Let’s see what I have in the tank tomorrow,” he wrote.

“Some guys try to win tournaments, others nail 200mph ball speed,” wrote another fan. People added that ball speed is indeed a huge part of DeChambeau’s game, and the young golfer was 1st in Strokes Gained off the tee ‘by a huge margin’ in 2021.
