Greg Norman has finally revealed their viewership count! According to him, they get one million+ audience per competition day on just YouTube. Notably, a comparison between the other major Tour events and LIV Golf has been a topic of interest in the golf world lately. And not many are accepting the numbers the LIV CEO revealed recently.

“We’re analyzing all that data right now as we speak,” Norman told ESPN when asked about their viewership count. “All I can say is from our perspective,” he added. “We’re running over 1 million viewers, per competition day, from YouTube.”
“When you look at the YouTube numbers, they’re overlooking what the viewer streaming is on our website,” the former world no. 1 confidently stated. “They’re overlooking the numbers for people watching on TV and other platforms around the world.”

Notably, he also explained that 180 channels worldwide broadcasted their Invitational Series each week. Thus, they still don’t have the correct number to release it officially. “Sponsors need it as well, too. But I do know other broadcasters are watching us,” the Australian golfer added. “And they’re very… very bullish because of the numbers that we’re seeing coming out.”

Soon after Norman disclosed the viewership count on YouTube, many PGA Tour loyalists started to criticize him for releasing fake data. NUCLR GOLF, a Twitter channel devoted to tracking the activities of the world’s best golfers, was one of the first to point it out to the public.
According to the channel, what Norman told about YouTube viewership is a lie. Notably, the total viewership count of the LIV Golf YouTube channel is 23,163,859 for the 267 videos they have uploaded so far.

With the Miami team event, which Dustin Johnson and his 4 Aces won, this season of the LIV Series has come to an end.
According to Sports Illustrated, the 2023 season of the Saudi-backed league will begin in February next year. Unlike the inaugural series, the officials are planning to find more golf courses worldwide, including in Australia, to host the event. Moreover, there will be 14 total events in the league next season.
