Mother, Elin Nordegren, was Swedish, and her father is an epitome of diverse heritage. When it comes to being a mixed-race kid, she is totally the queen of them all. She has inherited the diversity of her father, who is Asian, Black, Caucasian, and has Native American heritage. Nordegren in an interview with People revealed, “My children and I are both Swedish and American citizens, we speak both languages, and I think we get the best of both worlds.”

While Nordegren was dealing with the humiliating scandal back in 2010. She recalled how Sam comforted her during a difficult period following the high-profile divorce. In an interview with People, she revealed that young Sam caught on to her mother’s sadness and comforted her during the first Christmas, after the whole scandal. “Sam came up to me, put her hand on my cheek and said (in Swedish), ‘Mommy, where is your boo-boo?’ I smiled at her and said, ‘Mommy’s boo-boo is in her heart right now, but it will be better,’” Nordegren said.

Tiger was on top of the world after being blessed by a daughter. He could not stop gushing over his baby girl and her uniquely thought-out name. According to an article by nickiswift.com, Tiger narrated the story behind her name at a press conference for the AT&T National. He said, “My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born. He rarely ever called me Tiger. I would ask him, ‘Why don’t you ever call me Tiger?’ He says, ‘Well, you look more like a Sam'”

While his then-wife, Elin Nordegren, was in labour with their first child, Woods was occupied with the US Open. Tiger reflected that the birth of his child was a moment more fulfilling than any tournament win could ever be. Despite placing second in the US Open, he described the experience as “infinitely more rewarding” upon returning to be with his newborn daughter and family.
