Liv Golf defector, Bryson DeChambeau, broke out in the golfing scene in the year 2015. He won both the NCAA championship and the US Amateur championship. It made him one of the only five men to accomplish these feats in the same year, but in his own unconventional way. But his career has been no less than a roller coaster ride. But, the American golfer lost all his calm on a spectator once after missing out on the BMW Championship at Caves. But what actually happened that triggered him?

After DeChambeau missed four-putts to win the second FedEx cup event against Patrick Cantlay, an unpleasant incident took place with one of his fans. As per Kevin Van Valkenburg, an ESPN reporter, while Dechambeau was walking away, a fan took a sarcastically jab at him, “Good job, Brooksie”. The jab was directed towards his ongoing clash with the four-time major champion, Brooks Koepka.

DeChambeau had been a victim to various kinds of taunts throughout that week and was trying his best to ignore it. But, there is always a limit to everybody’s tolerance. And maybe it was his breaking point, with his career taking a dip and all the controversies surrounding him. At receiving a sarcastic comment by a spectator after loosing the BMW Championship, outraged Bryson spun around in anger. Before starting to walk towards him, he yelled with rage, “You know what? Get the f*** out!

The situation could have easily escalated but DeChambeau paused and moved towards the police officer to handle the heckler. One could say that anyone could lose their patience if things like that are recurrent. While the others may differ and say he couldn’t handle a fan taking Koepka’s side. People may differ with their opinions, some might take it as his strength and others as his weakness.

But whatever the opinions maybe, one cannot deny that DeChambeau had been needled by a troll. He was so eager and passionate to share his love for the games but situations like these have increased all of his resentment and chipped off some of his passion.
