In a dazzling display of skill, Hannah Green captured the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore. This win comes after she celebrated her marriage, recently. The dramatic conclusion to the tournament against Celine Boutier saw Green clinch the title with birdies on her final three holes. This triumph not only earned Green a substantial prize of $270,000 but also placed her among the elite, becoming only the fourth Australian to win five LPGA events. However, after the win was when Green won hearts.
After her spectacular victory, Hannah Green took a moment to reflect on her journey and share invaluable advice with young golfers aspiring to carve out their own paths in the professional golfing world. “I think you just have to enjoy the sport, It can be one that doesn’t give you much success straightaway. Even though I’ve had four wins on the LPGA, I think this is now my 11th worldwide” said Green emphasizing about how golf can be tough.
5x LPGAT winner further talked about golf can sometimes be a learning lesson as well. She highlighted that how well Boutier played and yet did not win the trophy, but she also mentioned that “she (Boutier) still should be proud of herself how she performed under the pressure.”
