But yesterday, the rash driving of a woman driver marred what was supposed to be a happy wedding, which left the touring party mourning the tragic death of the bride. Happy marriage turns catastrophic for the wedding family

The incident occurred on the first of May during the wedding between the groom Aric Hutchinson and his ladylove, Samantha “Sam” Hutchinson. The nuptials took place in the evening at Folly Beach in South Carolina, and once the rituals were done, the happy couple decided to take a golf cart for their ride back home.

However, what followed was nothing short of a gruesome mishap. As the cart veered towards the exit, a speeding car hit them on the rear side. As per witnesses, the cart was thrown over a hundred yards and rolled several times before coming to a halt.

The vehicle housed the new couple and two others. On immediate inspection, the bride was pronounced dead, while others were seriously injured. The night that was meant to be a new beginning turned out to be a tragic one, especially for the Hutchinson family.

Police investigation reveals details of the accident

Who was behind the wheel that caused the terrible accident? According to the police reports, the speeding car was driven by one Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, who was charged with three counts of DUI involving great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide.

Furthermore, it was revealed that she was traveling at a speed of 65 mph when she struck the golf cart. But was she in the right state of mind during the tragic accident?

As the officer at the scene said in a statement, Komoroski had admitted to having “one beer and a drink with tequila” an hour before the accident. She was allegedly unable to stand on her own feet when the police took her into custody and was “uncooperative on scene” when asked to complete a field sobriety test.
