Ahead of the final round, Scottie Scheffler currently sits in the T5 position with a total of 11-under 209. This year’s trophy means a lot to the 27-year-old star golfer after missing the first position by the merest of margins. Even before the last round, Scheffler had a lead over eventually winner Rory McIlroy with six strokes. 

Now, in this year’s journey to the same, Scottie is caddied by veteran caddie Ted Scott, who previously caddied Bubba Watson for 15 long years. Now, his bagman came to the aid as Scottie faced big trouble to rescue recently. 

The 6-time PGA Tour winner managed to score 71-65-73 in the last three rounds. And this score wouldn’t have been possible without a special member in his golf bag, his golf ball. Now, lately, during the Tour Championship, this golf ball had to be rescued from a bug. To help him out of the situation, his on-course friend Scott came in.

A recent picture has been posted on Twitter by CBS sports writer Kyle Porter. In that post, the golf ball is seen with a bug sitting reluctantly on it. Besides the ball, there’s a chocolate bar wrapper, kept with the sole purpose of driving the bug away.

Reflecting on the fact that it was Ted Scott’s idea to attract the bug away using an energy bar, fans have showered it with numerous comments.
