Spiranac became a social media influencer after retiring from professional golfing. Within a couple of years, she became the most followed golfer on Instagram, with 3.3 million followers. Notably, with 25-years of his career and 15-majors, Tiger Woods still has only 2.9 million followers on Instagram. 

As a social media influencer, Spiranac often has to face negative comments on the internet. “I really struggled with the negative comments at first,” she said in a Q&A Instagram Story video. “But then I realized that they don’t know me, the true, real me.” 

“They just know this persona, this character that I play,” Spiranac further added. “…and so, I was able to detach myself from the negative comments and really just have so much fun with it.”

Significantly, the 29-year-old is an ambassador of the CyberSmile Foundation. It is an NGO that deals with all forms of cyberbullying and online abuse. The Foundation also provides support to the victims and also encourages others to spread positivity through their posts.

According to her caption, Spiranac tries to make sure that her followers are happy and entertained. And she called out to the person who tried to degrade her for creating such content.

In less than a day, Paige Spiranac received more than 500 comments and more than 5k likes for the post. Since the golfer had to face criticism online, most of her followers and golf fans poured her with comments to uplift her positivity.
